Dr Peter Lau

B.Sc (Med) MBBS FRACGP Dip.D&M M.Div (SMBC) Ph.D (Sydney University)

Peter was born in Hong Kong but grew up in Sydney, Australia. He worked as a medical general practitioner for about fifteen years. He has teaching experience at SMBC and the University of Sydney, and taught at Seminari Theoloji Malaysia 2010-2018.

His research interests include Old Testament narrative, Social Identity Theory, Biblical Theology, and contextual readings of the Bible. He has published on Ruth, Ezekiel, Psalms and Esther. An edited volume on Ecclesiastes (reading from Asia and Pasifika) is forthcoming. He is currently back to writing on Ruth. Peter is married to Kathryn and they have three children.
