Role at SMBC:
At The Bridge (SMBC’s gap year for 18-21 year olds), Taani oversees the development and teaching of the Diploma of Christian Foundations, with a particular focus on the Ministry and Spiritual Formation components. She also coordinates the pastoral care of The Bridge students, through both formal and informal aspects of the program.
Prior to SMBC:
Taani spent many years in kids and youth ministry, particularly through Scripture Union Beach Missions and as a student minister at Wentworth Falls Anglican Church. She studied Exercise and Sport Science, with a view to overseas mission, but after completing her MDiv at SMBC in 2014, she helped to launch The Bridge in 2015, and has been on faculty ever since.
Personal:
Taani has recently developed a love for triathlon, and enjoys the fun and discipline of pushing herself further in swimming, cycling and running. To balance out this training, she enjoys good old-fashioned handcrafts, like quilting, crochet and embroidery.
