Prior to SMBC:
After studying social work at UNSW, Jo worked in community development and social planning in local government. Early in her Christian life she was challenged about the gospel needs around the world, and studied an MDiv at SMBC alongside her husband Mike.
Mike and Jo went on to serve as missionaries in South Asia with CMS for over ten years, working specifically with the Muslim background church. Since their return to Australia, she has served in a diverse range of ministry roles – on church teams at St Paul’s Castle Hill and St John’s Beecroft, and as CEO of a women’s parachurch organisation. Most recently she has been a Senior Consultant with the Reach Australia network and serves on the Board of The Gospel Coalition Australia.
