Support a Bible College Student
Help a student be trained to share the gospel
SMBC has a dedicated tax-deductible fund for students’ fees – “The SMBC Australian Scholarship Foundation”. It aims to train and prepare cross cultural workers to reach the lost with the gospel.
How it Works
You can either:
a) nominate a specific student’s tuition costs.
b) or make a general donation for students facing financial hardship.
Your donation will go towards:
- SMBC units and classes
- On-campus accommodation fees
- Other college fees
Terms & Conditions
- This fund is only available for students who are Australian citizens or permanent residents.
- Tax-deductible donations cannot be from immediate family members.
- Balances cannot be withdrawn in cash or used for non-college costs.
- There is a processing time of up to 2 months for donations to be allocated to the student’s tuition and fees.
- In cases where donated funds exceed a student’s costs (including anticipated future studies with SMBC) those funds will be redirected to support other students facing hardship, in consultation with the student who has the surplus of funds.
How to Donate
Bank Transfer
Bank transfers are our preferred method to donate, they carry the lowest administration cost and will maximise the impact of your donation.

With your first donation, please email us at donations@smbc.edu.au to confirm:
- If your donation is a general donation, or the name of a specific student you are supporting
- If you wish your name to be visible to the designated student, or to remain anonymous
Credit Card
You can donate by card, as a once-off gift or recurring through our secure Raisley page.
For donations above $1,000 we recommend donations by Bank Transfer to minimise card payment fees.
To support a specific student, please include the name(s) of the student that you wish to financially support in the message section of your online donation. You can donate with your name visible to the designated student, or choose to remain anonymous.
