Colin Bearup

Colin served in cross-cultural mission in France, Sudan and Belgium with OM, then for many years with WEC in Chad and is continuing with WEC in the UK. He has always worked among Muslims and delights in teaching others to do so too. For fifteen years, he was involved in a local Arabic New Testament translation project. Currently, he is developing new approaches to engaging with Muslims in England.

He also teaches at WEC’s European Missionary Training College, Cornerstone, and in the Manchester Centre for the Study of Christianity and Islam which is part of the Nazarene Theological College. He is engaged in doctoral research into 21st Century Islamic Sufism.

He is the author of Keys, Unlocking the Gospel for Muslims and Clues to Africa, Islam and The Gospel: Insights for new Workers and has a couple more books on the way.

He is married to Jean and they have three adult children and, at last count, three grandchildren.
