Yane was born in Indonesia and came to Australia as an overseas student trained in mission and Christian counselling at Kingsley Theological School in Melbourne. After completing her studies, she returned to her home country and enjoyed a variety of roles in teaching, counselling, pastoral work, and community development. Since moving back to Australia, Yane served with the Australian Indigenous Ministries (AIM). She also works as a visiting lecturer at Excelsia College. Currently completing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Adelaide College of Divinity, Yane's research focuses on theological education in Indigenous contexts.
Yane is married to Roni with two children. She enjoys bush walking, reading and playing UNO with her family and friends.
