Pray

SMBC Founded on Prayer

Over the years, God has provided faithfully and generously through the prayers of his people. He has enabled SMBC to prepare students for gospel work at home or overseas for over 100 years. Without prayer, none of this would have been possible.

Prayer Life at SMBC

Prayer is the engine that drives SMBC.  We pray both individually and corporately. Prayer times and opportunites include:

  • Monday morning prayer after Chapel
  • Prayer triplets every fortnight
  • Prayernook (located at the Roberts-Dale Campus for people who would like to pray for missionaries and those in need around the world)
  • Daily prayer on campus for lecturers and staff
  • The College Prayer Group, open to all friends of SMBC, meets monthly, during term time, on a Wednesday morning. For details please contact the Admin Centre on 02 9747 4780 or email

Monthly Prayer Diary

To assist you in praying for SMBC - it's staff and students, events and community life - we encourage you to use our Monthly Prayer Diary where we provide a few short prayer points for each day of the month.
