Living with Anxiety

with SUE BARTHO

There seems to be an anxiety epidemic in 21st century Australia. Why? Sue Bartho is a clinical psychologist and cognitive behavioural therapist with extensive experience helping people with anxiety. In her Hot Topic talk she will explore the symptoms, sources and spectrum of anxiety, and how it relates to, but differs from, depression and grief. Sue will help us understand what anxiety sufferers are experiencing; and for those who experience it, to learn not to listen to the voice of fear.

SMBC Hot Topics are helpful for all people who want their hearts and minds challenged to think biblically on life issues. Open to the general public, they normally run at our main campus in Croydon. Every year we bring some SMBC Hot Topics to Sydney's south west. We're grateful to Thomas Hassall Anglican College for hosting these talks.

NOTE: We have a second HotTopic talk at Thomas Hassall Anglican College - 'Rest and Sleep' - on 19 September. Details here.
