Us

We’re the oldest interdenominational Bible college in Australasia, located in Sydney’s cosmopolitan Inner West. We have a vision to see thousands of loving, skilled graduates bringing the light of Christ to a dark and needy world. Our mission, for over 100 years, is to create learning communities through which God prepares his people – theologically, spiritually, and practically – to serve Jesus in diverse contexts and cultures. We teach undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses in affiliation with the Australian College of Theology.

We’re adding to our College’s leadership team and faculty and we have positions open. There are contributions to make in College leadership. There are contributions to make in lecturing in pastoral care, spiritual formation and theology. There are contributions to make in the holistic care of our students and community building.

Senior Librarian Position

Our senior librarian, Meredith Tsai will retire in December, after almost 28 years of dedicated, professional, and servant-hearted service to the College.  An opportunity to join SMBC and lead the Kerr Library team has become available.

Its mission is to create learning communities through which God prepares his people – theologically, spiritually, and practically – to serve Jesus in diverse contexts and cultures.

We’re searching for a highly motivated, relational, qualified library and information services professional with experience as a team leader.

The successful applicant will be a member of a local church, delight in caring for people and have demonstrated experience as a library professional in a team environment.
