Master of Arts (Christian Studies) (MA(ChrStuds))
The MA(ChrStuds) is designed for those wishing to think theologically about their profession. The course contains two phases: Phase One is at graduate level and Phase Two is at postgraduate level.
Phase One consists of 32 credit points (which is made up of 8 units) of ‘500-600’ graduate level subjects. You would enrol in the Graduate Diploma of Christian Studies for this phase. This phase contains units which provide an overview of the Bible and Theology. It also contains Ministry and Missions electives. You will do a 6,000-7,000 word Integrative Project as part of this programme. Moving to Phase Two occurs when Phase One requirements are completed.
Phase Two consists of 32 credit points (which is made up of 4 units) of 700 postgraduate level subjects. One of these units must be an 8,000 word Integrative Project which is normally done in the final semester of study. Another must be a unit with an integrative focus. The remaining 2 units can be chosen at your discretion regardless of the areas covered.
This is a 2 year full-time or maximum 8 year part-time course.
A non-theological undergraduate degree from an Australian university (or equivalent).
Phase One requires the completion of 32 credit points (which is made up of 8 units) of ‘500-600’ graduate level subjects.
