Master of Arts (Theology) (MA(Th))
This course is designed to provide graduates in theology, including those who are practitioners in ministry, the opportunity to undertake study at course work masters level, thus consolidating and enhancing the areas of speciality, or proceeding to new areas of professional and vocational expertise on the foundation of their first degree in theology.
The MA(Th) is primarily for those in ministry who wish to reflect on aspects of their ministry. It may be a pathway to qualify for entry into research programs. This is a coursework postgraduate course.
Either a Project in one of these areas or a unit assessed as a Capstone Experience must be taken.
The 700 level Units that SMBC offers vary from year to year. Most of the units are offered in intensive format which are held over the course of a week.
For more detailed information on this course, including admission requirements, length and structure, see the ACT course overview – Standard Pathway or Accelerated Pathway. (SMBC is an affiliated college with the Australian College of Theology (ACT))
