Master of Divinity/Graduate Diploma of Divinity (MDiv/GDDiv)
The MDiv/GDDiv is a first theological degree which would suit any graduate wishing to prepare for full-time pastoral, evangelistic or Bible teaching ministry in Australia and overseas.
This combined degree includes the full Master of Divinity course which you will complete initially. Following this, the additional units leading to the award of the Graduate Diploma of Divinity are chosen from a wide selection of ministry and practice areas: missions and cross-cultural studies, evangelism and educational chaplaincy. You may also choose to include a 8credit points or 16 credit points research project or Master of Arts level units in your selection. A graduate with a MDiv/GDDiv having achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of more than 2.0 and a Credit, or better grade, in a project may become candidates for the research-based Master of Theology. Graduates with a GPA better than 3.0 and a Distinction, or better grade, in a project may become candidates for doctoral programs - Doctor of Ministry, Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Theology.
This is a 4 year full-time or maximum 12 year part-time course. If you choose the part-time study option it is strongly recommended to factor a full-time component (at least 2 semesters) into your course of study.
A non-theological undergraduate degree from an Australian university (or equivalent).
The MDiv/GDDiv requires the completion of 128 credit points at 500-600 level (32 graduate level units).
