Introduction to Research Methods

AQF: 8/9 hybrid

MOnday Daytime Seminar

The purpose of the unit is to assist you to plan and design a research project. You will be introduced to the discipline of research, become familiar with the research methods that you are likely to use in your research, analyse some examples of the research of others, and develop your own research proposal.

Note: SMBC requires all students doing a project to undertake this unit prior to commencing their project (24 and 36 credit point projects). As this unit is offered in Semester 1 each year, students need to decide to do a project well in advance so that this unit can be taken in time.
