Cross-Cultural Communication
Description
Would you like to get to know people from another culture, but are afraid of ‘treading on their cultural toes’? Do you want to learn how to share the gospel with people who are very different to you, in a way that resonates with their hearts?
This unit will help you understand why people from other cultures do what they do. It will enable you to discover the cultural values that underpin behaviour. You will learn how to contextualise the gospel so that it comes across as good news for the people you are relating to. You will analyse the values and deep-level assumptions of a particular ethnic group of your choice, and, building on this understanding, work out ways of sharing the gospel with those people that addresses their felt needs and the way they see sin.
