Visiting Lecturers

Dr Evelyn Hibbert

MICS Lecturer

MBBS, MEd(Further Education and Training), MEd(TESOL), MA(Arabic and Islamic Studies), EdD

Evelyn, with her husband, Richard, served as a pioneer church planter in the Middle East and Bulgaria. She had the privilege of being involved in discipling new Muslim-background believers who flocked to Christ in their thousands after the fall of Communism. Evelyn is working on developing accessible Bible training for these believers who are now scattered across Western Europe.

Evelyn has had an international ministry helping missionaries with strategic planning, church planting, multicultural teamwork, and developing and evaluating missionary training programs. She supervises research in cross-cultural and multicultural ministry and is in the process of establishing a research centre under the Australian College of Theology for women missionaries wanting to explore questions related to their ministry.

Evelyn teaches as part of the online SMBC Master of Intercultural Studies (MICS).
